Your First Meeting with The Dorger Difference Team

To best prepare for your home search, we need to discuss our mutual objectives

• First and foremost, we will establish our relationship as we become acquainted. You are an integral part of your home purchase. So, we are creating a team.
• We will:
  • Explain “Buyer Agency” and the process of purchasing a home.
  • Discuss your current housing situation and how that might affect your home search.
  • Work with you to help you obtain mortgage pre-approval. Sellers and their agents know that a pre-approved buyer is serious and prepared to close on a property quickly.
  • We will formulate an action plan to view homes with consideration to schedules and means of communication.
  • Ask you to create a brief “wants & needs” list
    • Needs: The most important features you want in your new home: adequate size of home, sufficient bedrooms & baths, eat-in kitchen and/or dining room, backyard needs for children and pets, school district, access to school & work.
    • Wants: The features you love but might be unrealistic when balancing features with desired price (exterior construction, pool, spa bath, hardwood floors, view, etc.).
• We will be with you every step of the way – from viewing houses, negotiating the purchase, to the home appraisal and inspection, final re-negotiations, and to the closing table and beyond!
