Distinguished as one of the Tri-State area's most historic riverfront communities, Dayton is only a seven-minute drive from downtown Cincinnati. Like several of the other cities along the river's path, Dayton is awakening to the potential of premier development around this natural feature. The colorful and attractive $10 million Watertown Yacht Club encompasses 58 acres to offer 440 in-water slips and 250 dry-dock slips. This sprawling marina and restaurant complex commands unspoiled views of the southern Ohio hillsides and was built in 1988 on the land where a famous beach and entertainment center once stood at the turn of the century. Among the popular community events in Dayton are Mary Inglis Day and Light Up Dayton. The lush city parks are ideal for sports or relaxation and feature summer recreational programs for the youth. Dayton is located in northern Kentucky but is often confused with the much larger metropolis of Dayton in southern Ohio.
